Mindful Monday: I Experience the Divine Energy Invoked by Mantra

Meditating on a Mantra


  • Sit in a stable, comfortable posture.

  • Allow ten or fifteen minutes.

  • Breathe in and lengthen your spine.

  • Breathe out and relax your shoulders.

  • Think of a word that connects you to the Divine: perhaps Spirit, Beloved, Father, Love or Peace.

  • Silently repeat your sacred word, coordinate it with your breath if you like.

  • When silence arises, let the word recede and when thoughts return, resume mantra recitation.

  • Feel the energy of the Divine in your body/mind.
