Meditating on a Candle
Place a lit candle in front of you.
Establish your comfortable seated pose.
Breathe in, aware of being in your body.
Breathe out, aware of your body relaxing.
Gaze softly at the candle light.
Close your eyes after a minute or so and envision an un-flickering flame in your mind's eye, the area between your eye brows.
When your attention drifts off to thoughts, open your eyes and focus on the flame, then close them and envision the flame in your mind's eye.
